The Best Golden Milk Recipe

This nourishing golden milk latte blends turmeric, saffron, nutmeg, black pepper, coconut milk, and honey into a soothing elixir for body and mind. In Ayurveda, each ingredient carries powerful healing qualities:

  • Turmeric – anti-inflammatory, supports digestion, immunity, and joint health.

  • Saffron – elevates mood, calms the nervous system, and promotes radiant skin.

  • Nutmeg – aids sleep, balances the mind, and kindles digestion in moderation.

  • Black Pepper – enhances nutrient absorption (especially turmeric), stimulates circulation, and clears toxins.

  • Coconut Milk – cooling, nourishing, and grounding for Pitta dosha.

  • Honey – rejuvenates tissues, boosts immunity, and harmonizes the blend.

Sipped warm before bed or as an afternoon ritual, this Ayurvedic golden milk latte is a grounding, healing practice that restores balance and promotes long-term wellness.

This recipe was given to me by my Herbology guru and it is my favorite golden milk recipe by far, packed full of powerful antioxidants to combat stress, aging, and inflammation.

Golden Milk Latte

8-12 oz of water or coconut milk

1/2 tsp ground turmeric

1/4 tsp ground black pepper

Pinch of ground nutmeg

5-6 saffron threads

Honey to sweeten

This recipe can be made simply by boiling water or coconut milk. Then add ground spices and let steep. Add honey after the milk has cooled off to a drinkable temperature
